Summit Medical Practice is a private practice providing medical services by a double-board certified specialist physician: Dr. Izona Bock (Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease)

Dr. Bock has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting managing conditions such as:
• Acute and Chronic Renal Failure
• Diabetes and its associated complications such as diabetic neuropathy, gastroparesis, diabetic ketoacidosis
• Acute and chronic congestive heart failure
• Chest pain (angina)
• Gastrointestinal bleeding from multiple sources including stomach ulceration
• Pancreatitis
• Pneumonia
• Acute Hepatitis
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma exacerbations
• Autoimmune conditions such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis
• Preoperative risk assessments
• Thyroid disorders such as hyper or hypothyroidism
• Work up for patients with unclear diagnoses

Dr. Bock has treated a broad range of infectious diseases over the past decade including:
• Sepsis and Septic Shock
• Multidrug resistant infections
• Endocarditis
• Bacteremia/Fungemia
• Meningitis/Encephalitis
• Fevers of Unknown Origin
• Ostoemyelitis including diabetic foot infections to help prevent amputations
• Septic arthritis including prosthetic joint infections
• Opportunistic infections in immunocompromised hosts including transplant patients
• Fungal infections such as disseminated candidiasis
• COVID-19 and its complications
• Pneumonia including Ventilator Associated Pneumonias
• HIV and the complications of AIDS
• Sexually transmitted illnesses
• Chronic hepatitis B and C
• Tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections
• Occupational exposures to infectious agents
